The Jefferson Fellowships Program is a program established since 1967 and funded by The Freeman Foundation, of Stowe, Vermont. The goal of this program is to improve people’s understanding through broadcasts in media that deal with culture and other issues as well as the developing trends in Asia Pacific region, especially in Asia, Pacific Islands and USA. This program gives the chance for journalist from USA and Asia Pacific to get in-depth understanding of issues arises in Asia Pacific region.
Journalist could also get the opportunity to build international networks through a week of dialogue with experts and professional colleagues at the East-West Center followed by a two week field trip to cities in Asia or USA, such as Honolulu, Hawaii, Tokyo in Japan, and Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Hong Kong SAR in China.
